There are people who, thanks to memes, become completely famous, becoming characters that are even loved. Feeling that also adds to an eternal gratitude for leaving us some expression that serves as a response on social networks or messaging apps.

The best example of this is Bernard Cribbins who is the protagonist of one of the most popular Internet memes, who has unfortunately passed away at the age of 93.

The death of Cribbins, who was a British actor famous for the now eternal scene in Doctor Who, was announced on Thursday by his agent.

The veteran performer was also known for the “Carry on” movie saga, the movie “ilThe railway chdren” (“The boys on the train”, 1970).

Actor who had a memorable career, which even led him to work with Alfred Hitchcock in “Frenzy” (1972), as well as John Cleese, of Monty Python, in the comedy TV series “Fawlty Towers”.

“Bernard’s contribution to the British entertainment industry is beyond question. He was one of a kind and typified the best of his generation, he will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him,” said his agent Gavin Barker.

And in a kind of honor to his legacy, especially on the internet, I think it’s fair to send him off fairly by reacting with his now legendary meme:
