What was supposed to be a ‘dream wedding’ quickly turned into a nightmare for a couple whose marriage turned into chaos with screams and alarm bells ringing.

Video of the incident shows two men entering the room, one of them waving a gun in the air in the middle of the reception. Something that caused the guests to run away and scream.

The incident took place on March 2 around 11 p.m. at the wedding venue known as Cielo Farms located in Davie.

Jonathan Campo was playing music at his cousin’s wedding when the riots started and a man demanded he stop playing the music even though there were around 40 minutes left depending on what time the venue had been booked.

Christian Rafart, 31, the owner of the room began to seize the equipment of the DJ, causing an altercation between the two.

“When I replay it in my head, I can see inside the gun,” Campo explains. “I can see the shine of the gun. I remember the grain of the wood on the handle.”

Rafart who fled and returned moments later with a second man. It was Miguel Rodríguez, 58, who was holding a gun and also pointing it at Campo.

Rodriguez and Rafart were arrested, according to Broward authorities’ records.

Davie police confirmed that Rodriguez, who authorities say owns the venue, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while Rafart faces charges of assault, resisting arrest and violation of probation, according to police. .
