The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that a tornado touched down in Micco, Florida last Sunday.

The tornado was category EF-0 and had winds between 60 and 70 miles per hour (mph).

Between 25 and 30 structures, including awnings, porches, roofs and canopies, were impacted in the community of River Grove.

Last Sunday, the NWS issued a tornado warning until 6:15 a.m. for the town of Micco, home to just over 9,000 residents, a school and a hospital.
