A story with an alligator as the main character repeats itself in a town in Florida. State Fish and Wildlife Commission officials fought with an alligator that was found blocking a road in West Palm Beach on Monday.

West Palm Beach police said the reptile was found in the 4300 block of Australian Avenue near a canal and lake known as alligator habitat.

The alligator was six feet long.

A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission official was called to the scene and was able to catch the alligator, which had been blocking the northbound lanes for a long time.
