A motorcyclist has died and his passenger has been hospitalized after an accident on Sunday in the westbound lanes of the Dolphin Freeway (836), authorities said.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to the crash area around 6:20 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Highway 836 near the NW 87th Avenue exit ramp in Miami.
According to FHP, a motorcyclist lost control and crashed into a guard wall. The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was transported to Kendall Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
