They pursue a suspect involved in the assault of a Lancaster deputy sheriff.

The driver took Highway 14 in the Santa Clarita area and then headed south on Highway 5.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department reported that it had dropped the pursuit, making way for California Highway Patrol officers.
