Xbox may be struggling to reach an agreement with Sony over Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping further deals between the two gaming rivals.

During yesterday’s State of Play livestream, Sony announced that Xbox’s Minecraft Dungeons will be coming to the PlayStation Plus library next month. Such a deal might not be as monumental as the one tied to Call of Duty, but Phil Spencer still seems pretty happy to have managed to move on.

The Xbox manager took Blood to express their excitement about bringing the Minecraft spin-off to more players, across different devices and services, no less.

Of course, this is a rather timely PS Plus addition. Xbox continues to make its case to various regulators regarding the ActiBlizz settlement, a case that largely hinges on Xbox bringing its games to more platforms, whether or not those platforms are Microsoft-owned.

Xbox is certainly trying to help its takeover case with deals like this, as well as the company’s recent deals with Nintendo and Nvidia. Let’s see if everything pays off for Xbox!

About Ben Kerry

i am kerry

Ben is a fan of action, racing, and direct fire in every video game he can get his hands on. When he’s not playing, Ben spends his time listening to too many Guns N’ Roses, watching football, and probably eating somewhere.

It’s a nifty way of saying “hey look, more people can play our games” on the same platform you’re actively opposing. Elegant.

@Kaloudz Very smart. I’m sure the timing is pure coincidence. MS plays this game like old masters…which they are.
