Unfortunately, we never heard anything after that, so we asked our sister site Time Extension to follow up on the situation in their interview, and Blackley had a pretty interesting answer for them. Ultimately, a few people on the Xbox team dismissed the idea, suggesting that if it were to happen, it would be something internal.

Here is what Blackley says:

“That would have been great! I thought we could do it as Duke, but a few people on the Xbox team said, ‘No, no, we want to do it internally’ and I didn’t. do.” I heard something since. So this is it.”

Some interesting comments then from Blackley, who is no longer involved in the discussions, but seems to think that Microsoft may have had some interest in the idea. It will be interesting to see if this happens in the future!
