Thanks to Chucklefish, Deadpan Games and Gaziter, we have a release date for Freeze. The tactical roguelike deck builder has been confirmed to come to Switch on April 12, 2023.

Chucklefish originally announced Wildfrost for Switch last May. It was originally planned for the fall, but the project ended late.

Learn more about the game in the following preview:

Set out for the frozen tundras of Wildfrost! Players will embark on a perilous journey through icy mountains with their trusty deck of charming companions and powerful elementals, to reclaim a world of mysterious eternal winter. It will take determination, sharp strategy, and deck-building skills to reach the Temple of the Sun and banish Wildfrost once and for all!

Along the monster-laden journey, players will rescue and recruit frozen companions, unearth lost treasure, offer wondrous wonky amulets, and spend hard-earned jewelry from mysterious peddlers. The decisions made in each round will help players create a powerful deck unique to each game. Players can return to Snowdwell to rebuild the town, unlock more maps, and complete new challenges and events for an endlessly replayable adventure.
