Koei Tecmo’s next game about hunting huge monsters, Wild Hearts, No have microtransactions or any additional paid post-launch content, the developers reiterated during an online Q&A session. Wild Hearts seems to take a slightly different approach to games like Monster Hunter, with no additional costumes or other cosmetics to purchase separately.
The Wild Hearts development team hosted a Twitter Q&A on February 14 to answer questions from fans who were eagerly awaiting a Wild Hearts release date later in the week. One fan pointed out that EA was releasing Wild Hearts and asked if it would include “any kind of microtransactions.”
“We have no plans to include MTX in Wild Hearts,” said the the team responded. “All post-launch content updates will be free, including the new Kemono subspecies coming in March, and more coming soon!”
This lines up with what the team said before: Wild Hearts will include over 20 monsters at launch, with more coming as free DLC. The developers have also previously indicated that they have no plans for microtransactions, cosmetics or otherwise, and that seems to be the plan.
The Wild Hearts team also assured players that Omega Force is working hard to improve performance and that DLSS and FSR support will be added in a future patch, which should offer drastic performance improvements for some graphics cards.
You can try Wild Hearts right now on a 10-hour trial if you’re a PC Game Pass or EA Play subscriber. You might want to check the Wild Hearts system requirements first to make sure your graphics card can keep up.
