Wild Hearts’ first major update brings a shiny new Kemono and matching talisman that grants players an extra addition to their roster of abilities. The new patch for the monster-hunting RPG game also includes useful crafting and modding improvements, as well as a wide range of bug fixes and some balance changes, including buffs for various Wild weapons. Hearts.

The newest addition to the Wild Hearts monster roster is the terrifying Hellfire Laharback. This giant, flaming, ape-like beast appears to be a relative of the Lavaback family and is currently terrorizing Natsukodachi Island. If you are able to take down this mighty beast, a new Infernal Blow Talisman can be yours that increases the chances of setting your enemies on fire, as well as increasing the power of attacks against burning monsters.

Numerous weapon buffs are also included in the patch, with the Bladed Wagasa, Maul, Bow, Nodachi, Claw Blade, and Karakuri Katana among those seeing the most tangible improvements. Karakuri’s staff, however, was reduced a bit due to too many iframes. On top of that, you’ll now be able to see your character’s full list of abilities for all parts during armorcrafting, weapon crafting, and armor modding, making it much easier to keep track of the construction that you don’t arm.

Major bug fixes and adjustments include a fix for an issue that prevented rewards from being awarded correctly after certain fights against the giant Kemono, and the removal of Karakuri which can contain food during a battle on Minato to ensure that they are not accidentally destroyed. There are also a host of individual bug fixes, so if you run into any issues, be sure to check out the full patch notes to see if they’ve been fixed.

The team also notes in an accompanying blog post that it is “dedicated to Wild Hearts and we will be constantly working to improve the gameplay experience throughout this year.” Note that The second content update for Wild Hearts is scheduled for March 23, when Grimstalker arrives on Azuma with new armor and weapons to craft after the fight.. The team adds that “even more Kemono are on their way to Azuma in April.”
