Hippogriffs are some of the most magical creatures you can find in the world of Hogwarts Legacy. These creatures aren’t easy to get, but they’re worth catching. This is because you can use them as mounts. Imagine flying over the highlands or Hogsmeade on the back of a hippogriff. Of course, you need to be able to track these beasts first, which is a lot easier said than done. This guide will show you where you can find Hippogryphs in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hippogriff Locations in Hogwarts Legacy

Hippogryphs aren’t that easy to find, especially since there’s only one area where you can find them while roaming. Before you can catch any of these majestic creatures, you will first need to progress through the game to the point where you have the Nab-Sack and have learned how to catch creatures and take care of them.

You can easily find hippogriffs in the forbidden forest, just like unicorns. A hippogryph lair can be found northeast of Jackdaw’s Tomb and southwest of the fast travel point North Ford Bog Entry Floo Flame.

If you’re not interested in getting an old-school hippogryph, you can get your own just by playing through the campaign. During your first beast course, you will encounter Highwing. Later in the campaign, you will help Natty on a mission and discover that poachers have kidnapped Highwing. At the end of the mission, you will automatically unlock Highwing as a mount.

Hippogriffs are one of the hardest creatures to catch in Hogwarts Legacy. This is because it takes the Nab-Sack a while to capture them. If you want to have a better chance of catching a Hippogryph, you’ll want to use the Disillusionment spell to sneak up on it. You can then use the Levioso spell or the Arresto Momentum spell to hold one in place while using the Nab-Sack. You may need to use both spells, so be sure to keep them in your hotbar.
