In October last year, we saw the launch of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope on the Nintendo Switch, Ubisoft’s latest offering in the X-COM-like tactical RPG genre that serves as the perfect entry point for any gamer. Today the release date has been confirmed for The Tower of Dooomthe first Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope DLC which is part of its Season Pass.

All DLC announced by Ubisoft for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will be part of its Season Pass or Season pass and will arrive throughout 2023 on the Nintendo Switch. The first DLC is The Tower of Doooom, which offers a new challenge and will arrive next Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope for Nintendo Switch.

To get access to Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope’s first DLC, you can purchase the Gold Edition of the game or its Season Pass, as Ubisoft has confirmed that The Tower of Doooom is exclusive to the Season Pass. Instead, the other 2 DLCs planned for this 2023 can be purchased independently from the Season Pass, although those who already have the Pass will not have to repurchase them.

Ubisoft has announced the release date for the first DLC Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope with a short clip on the game’s official social media accounts, showing a bit of what awaits us in Madame Bwahstrella’s new challenge. This new DLC takes us to a multidimensional tower that we will have to climb while going through highly strategic battles, designed for those looking for a more difficult experience after the game’s main campaign.

The second DLC of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope does not yet have a name or date, but we know that it will take us to a new planet with a new chapter in the history of the game, so we will see new enemies, bosses and secrets to discover. The third DLC will crossover with Rayman, although unfortunately Mario and Rayman will not team up in this expansion, as the team will be split.

For now, I recommend that you play Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope again so that you’re ready for the challenge of The Tower of Doooom when it arrives next week, because from Thursday, March 2, it will be available on Nintendo Switch.

In my Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope review, I said it was an improvement over its prequel in every way, so if you’ve played Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle or are a fan of tactical RPGs in general, I encourage you to try this excellent experience from Ubisoft Milan.

Unfortunately Ubisoft said that Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope sold less than expected, although we hope this will pay off in the long term since during the Christmas season we saw that Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle recorded very good sales. Although Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope did not have the launch hoped for by Ubisoft, its good reception could make it a long-term success.
