But Jimmy and Christine, now in their forties, may have cloudy memories of the time…and what really happened to Doug?

Relive the story of the trio through choice-based gameplay and explore the multiple paths of frictionless, branching interactive fiction. Solve accessible and engaging puzzles while learning more about the paranormal investigator himself in a book-inspired dual-timeline story with branching choices and tales from the past. Decipher the details between generations to finally close the book on a case that has been open for almost 30 years.

Created by novelist Nico Saraintaris and artist Fernando Martinez Ruppel, Varney Lake follows its predecessor Mothmen 1966 as the second installment in the Pixel Pulps anthology.

Shintaro Kanaoya, Founder and CEO of Chorus Worldwide, said of the upcoming game, “We love the different way Varney Lake takes on horror compared to Mothmen 1966. The first episode of Pixel Pulp hid its cryptic truths in the dark surrounding forests.: The game hides in plain sight. We’re thrilled that you’re seeing the same macabre plot of Pixel Pulps presented in a whole new light.
