An anime adaptation of a game spawned a full-fledged game. Traces of Cold Steel: War in the North has a version of the game in development. The revelation came with the opening of an official Twitter account and title website on February 24, 2023. The game is for smartphones in Japan and pre-registration is open through the official website.

He Cold Steel Traces of the Northern War The game adaptation takes place in the same setting as the anime series of the same name. It depicts the conflict between Erebonia and northern Ambria which takes place between the periods of Traces of Cold Steel II there third Lavian Winslet is a member of the Northern Jaegers, a mercenary company. He strives to protect his hometown, as well as make a name for himself other than his grandfather, a notorious traitor to North Ambria. Along with his teammates Martin, Iseria, and Talion, he goes on a mission to Erebonia to gather information on the so-called “Hero of the Empire”.

It’s unclear how the game will tie into the anime, but promotional art on the official site shows character art for Lavian, Martin, Iseria, and Talion. Developed by Userjoy, the game is likely to be a free-to-play RPG with gacha elements. The pre-registration campaign promises several rewards for players, including a free SSR unit based on Elie MacDowell, a character from trails from scratch.

He Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Guerra del Norte The mobile game is in development for Android and iOS devices in Japan. An overseas release has yet to be announced.
