Today, publisher Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio announced that Sound of the Sea, the next major expansion for Tower of Fantasy, the hit free-to-play open-world MMORPG, will arrive on May 11.
The darkest and most dangerous depths of the sea are now open to nomads with this new update, and players will be able to explore the deep underwater caverns of the Dark Source. As the nomads descend deeper and deeper into the mysterious sea, they must upgrade their materials through the required quests in order to withstand the enormous pressure of the water entering the dark spring. There will also be two new puzzle-solving missions: Trapped Patrol Guard and Idle Security Guard. Another new feature of Sound of the Sea is that difficulty will increase with dimension, instead of nomad level. This will increase the power of enemies you encounter and can also grant new rewards by solving puzzles and opening chests. Also available will be the Abysser: Nakya, a massive world boss in the shape of a red spider skeleton.
The Sound of the Sea update not only brings a new world boss, map, and challenges, but also Gnonno, a new simulacrum. Inspired by her grandfather, Nuok, who was part of the exploration team that discovered Innars, Gnonno also hopes to become an excellent explorer. However, his wild and murky reputation sometimes proves to be a drag. Although she knows the complex seas like the back of her hand, a few years ago she convinced a friend of hers to go exploring with her, but only Gnonno made it home. Many mysteries are tied to this incident, but the only sure thing is that Gnonno gained the power to summon a strange octopus-like creature and command its tentacles. Other than that, she carries a very special weapon on her exploration trips: the Miniature Hurricane.
Tower of Fantasy is available for free on the official website, as well as on the App Store, Google Play and Steam.
