Konami announced the return to the physical format of the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship, where the best duelists will compete over two days at Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) in Japan.

The tournament discontinued its head-to-head model due to the pandemic with the last edition in 2019, but now is the time to resume in-person competition and, in addition, expand it by adding Yu-Gi World Tournaments. -Oh! Duel Links (the mobile title) and new this year, the first Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and it brings the franchise closer to the eSports format.

All duelists who wish can participate in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Qualifiers WCS 2023 for a chance to advance to the final championship. These ranking series will begin on May 16, while the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links will do so on May 30.

The final qualifying stages for the Yu-Gi-Oh! WCS 2023 from the Yu-Gi-Oh! The TCG will take place this summer, featuring previously ranked duelists in European and Oceania championships. The Yu-Gi-Oh! The European Championship is confirmed from June 30 to July 2 at the Jaarbeurs exhibition center in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
