The studio and the publisher Spike Chunsoft has announced new details about its upcoming neo-noir detective story title Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, which is still slated for release next June 30th.

Although we have already talked about the size of the map and the many characters that we will meet in the detective adventure, the study now wants to delve into all the things that we can do while moving through the huge city of Kanai district.

Gumshoe Gab

Scattered throughout the Kanai district are statues similar to Shinigami. These statues or “Memory Shards” allow memories to be seen between the protagonist Yuma and the other detectives since their arrival in Kanai Ward.

Petitions

Basically, these are side quests to help people in need. Their requests range from finding a book to finding a missing child. Some of these queries require simple deductive reasoning, like the good detectives that we are.

Mysterious Labyrinth Skills

As Yuma gains experience as a detective, he will earn detective dots. After earning a certain number of detective points, your detective rank will increase and you will earn skill points, which can be used to learn “maze skills”. Detective Points can be earned by completing requests, investigating various objects and locations in the city, and listening to the stories of its inhabitants.

As detective rank increases, in addition to gaining the skill points needed to learn maze skills, the capacity of “Memory” skill slots also increases. Maze Skills can be equipped in these slots, meaning more Maze Skills can be used as Detective Rank increases.

The three categories of maze skills are Escape (abilities that lessen the difficulty of action-oriented gameplay elements, such as slowing down Mysterious Ghost pronouncements in a reasoned deathmatch), solution sheet (abilities that reduce the difficulty of puzzle pieces, such as removing wrong answers, for example) and Endurance (Increases Yuma’s max health, making him less likely to be finished off if you make a mistake.)

Additional puzzle solving elements and actions in Reasoning Deathmatch

GOD Shinigami
This is an action-packed mystery-solving sequence that takes place at the end of a mysterious maze. An oversized Shinigami advances over obstacles to track down the mysterious ghost who looks like the real culprit. Hit iron balls to push them aside, smash through walls and jump to avoid spikes.

Recreation of the closed room

In the Mysterious Labyrinth, the locked room where the crime took place is recreated. Deduce the method and the means to create the closed piece and discover the trick.

Additional Actions to Reason Deathmatches

As the story progresses, new actions are added to face the Mysterious Ghost in a reasoned deathmatch. Reasoning Deathmatches are getting more and more intense and complex, so make sure you get the most out of these actions.

Repel

This action can be performed with the Solution Sheet against a Mysterious Ghost’s blue declaration, returning it to him. By responding in this way, you can extract more statements and get closer to the heart of the matter. If the Ghost says, “It’s clear who’s to blame,” you’ll be able to dispute the validity of the allegation, even in the absence of evidence.

Aid

Use an accompanying Shinigami or Detective in a Reasoned Deathmatch to create a shield around yuma. This will make you invincible for a while. Use Assist with caution, as it cannot be used consecutively.
