the polish study Techland just announced that the next game he’s working on is a AAA fantasy title. The reveal was made on Twitter alongside what looked like a piece of concept art, showing someone clinging to a tree, while in the background you can see a town or city and a planet that seems to be divided.
The name of the next Techland project has not yet been given, nor the details on its gameplay. But, if we take Techland’s work on Dying Light and its sequel as an example, we can imagine there will be a heavy emphasis on parkour and traversing the map in unusual ways.
This project is not as “unknown” as it seems, since in May last year the studio has already launched a job advertisement (also via Twitter) in which this game is referred to, so it seems that development is progressing at a good pace
There’s also no confirmed release window, so it’s probably best not to wait another few years, especially since we’ve only been shown a few concept art snippets so far. .
