As many expected, Hogwarts Legacy seems destined to become one of the greatest (if not he biggest) Xbox releases of 2023, breaking records everywhere since its launch of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in early February.
So you’d expect DLC plans to be in the works, but apparently that’s not the case! This was revealed by game director Alan Tew as part of IGN Fan Fest 2023 this weekend. Here’s what he had to say about it:
“We were really discouraged bringing (Hogwarts Legacy) to life, so at this time there are no current plans for DLC.”
Tew’s comments are weird and we hope they don’t mean Hogwarts Legacy Never get downloadable content. Perhaps the team is more focused right now on the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch versions of the game that will be released in the coming months; once they’re out of the way, we expect DLC to be in the works. .
Either way, we’re still having a great time with Hogwarts Legacy, giving it a 9/10 “Excellent” in our Pure Xbox review the other week, but it’s definitely going to feel like a missed opportunity if you don’t. not get an extension or two.
