Sega announced in its latest earnings report that Sonic Frontiers has sold 2.9 million copies since its release in November, according to Eurogamer. In addition to Sonic Frontiers, other Sega games were also successful, such as the PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch version of Persona 5 Royal, which sold 1.3 million copies.

It should be noted that recent games such as the Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden cross-platform releases are not included in the revenue report as they have not been on the market for quite a long time. Both games will likely be mentioned in the next report.

Sega had already revealed in December that Sonic Frontiers had sold 2.5 million copies. The game has been very successful since its release in November and has received several updates since then, many of which are free.

More recently, the Sonic Frontiers director expressed interest in removing the boost mechanic from the potential Sonic Frontiers sequel.

Sonic Frontiers is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
