The champions of Azeroth have ventured to the Dragon Isles, aided the dragonflights, and defeated the mighty proto-dragon Raszageth. Now is the time to discover what lies beneath the surface of the Dragon Isles with Return to the Forgotten Reach (10.0.7) coming March 21 and Embers of Neltharion (10.1), WoW’s next major content update. .

Return to the Forgotten Front (10-0-7)

It will launch on March 21, 2023, after the completion of regional maintenance.

Important features:

  • New max level area: The Forgotten Frontier
    • This area includes new content for max-level players that delves into the aftermath of the turmoil caused by the Primalists and the elemental chaos they have wrought.
  • Rooms Zskera
    • Max-level players exploring the depths of Forgotten Reach will help the Dragon Expedition delve into these newly discovered chambers, filled with enemies, puzzles, and treasure.
  • monk class expansion
    • The Monk class will be available for Lightforge Draenei, Worgen, and Goblins.

Embers of Neltharion (10.1)

Available on the Public Test Realm (PTR) starting March 9.

As players will discover in Return to the Forgotten Reach (10.0.7), the fallen Earthkeeper Neltharion, better known as the infamous Deathwing, maintained a secret laboratory deep within the Dragon Isles. The threat now rests with both the now free Incarnations and a rebel band of drachthyr led by the Sarkareth Scalerwho fight to gain access to the laboratory and take control of Neltharion’s hidden secrets.

Important features:

  • NEW AREA: Zaralek Cave
    • In this mysterious underground cavern, new characters, quests and creatures, explorations and dragon rider updates await you, among other things.
  • NEW GROUP: Aberrus, the Dark Crucible
    • Aberrus is a secret laboratory hidden in the cavern of Zaralek where Neltharion not only created the drachthyr, but also succumbed to the whispers of the old gods.
    • Players will face nine heads in an effort to stop the Incarnations and the escalation of Sarkareth, whose forces seek to reclaim the legacy of the drachthyrs.
    • As with Season 1, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties will launch simultaneously.
  • NEW MYTHICAL ROTATION+:
    • The remaining Dragonflight dungeons come into play:
      • leather sheet hollow
      • Infusion rooms
      • Uldaman: Tyr’s Legacy
      • Neltharus
    • Four dungeons from previous expansions will offer new challenges to reinvigorate the M+ rotation:
      • strong free (Battle for Azeroth)
      • Rotting Catacombs (Battle for Azeroth)
      • Neltharion’s Lair (Legion)
      • Top of the whirlpool (Cataclysm)
    • Seasonal affixes are still in development and can be tested later in the PTR cycle.
