The scant information these fragments provide allows him to piece together events, while also providing back stories for some of the ghosts he encounters. All in all, it helps flesh things out and keep the gears turning, despite a few odd grammars here and there in some notes.
While the controls are mostly clunky, aside from some nice inclusions like the ability to auto-lock on ghosts, Fatal Frame: Lunar Eclipse Mask it looks like a return to form for the series. This is welcome since the last major release was black water girl. While it’s certainly not for everyone, it’s great to see Koei Tecmo bringing this entry in the series to North America and Europe. Hopefully, this will signal a return for the franchise as a whole, with much of its formula intact.
