PlanetSide 2 has been updated for its tenth anniversary. The shooter added Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR support for increased FPS, better API access, and better server performance.

Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology gives many gamers an Nvidia performance boost in many games. Now AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution does something similar and improves the experience. Both technologies speed things up and increase frame rates on systems with a card that supports their use.

Another addition to this update is the PlanetSide 2 API improvement, which was intended to make things clearer and allow more developers to have access to it. The team also added a number of previously missing collections and information, such as experience events. This will make it easier for third parties interested in creating or updating their own relevant materials to do so.

These changes are part of a pack of updates that also improved cheat protection in PlanetSide 2. Building on the system originally added in January, the update fixed a few holes and tweaked it to speed up the capture of cheaters. . This will work in conjunction with player reports.

The update also included a retuning of reflexes and ACOG to a radically more consistent size and even reflex customization and the ability to hide the reticle if you want an extra challenge. There is a new gender change token in the Depot if you want this option for your character. For starters, it will be available for 1 Cert until March for easy access before its price goes up to 1000. The update reopens the ability to spawn vehicles remotely from the map, as long as the base is not disputed.

There’s a lot more in the update like other tweaks and changes, including balance tweaks. It’s a huge update, and one of the biggest for PlanetSide 2 in a short time.
