Crunchyroll is not only a platform accessible on PC but also an application available on various devices including consoles. Exactly a year ago, the Sony platform app arrived on Nintendo Switch, bringing the anime from the catalog to Nintendo devices.

Today, the platform announced a new app, this time for Microsoft’s home consoles, the Xbox. The new app for Xbox features an updated screen and also brings improvements to video playback, anime watched list, and other functions that were already available in the previous version.

With the new video player it will be possible to choose the language of the episode you are watching even while watching it, and you can even turn off the subtitles. Access to the series you are interested in will also be facilitated thanks to the watchlist, and recently watched episodes can be revisited shortly after the first viewing. Searching for series will also be much more convenient, because with the new search function, you can search for episodes directly instead of the series page. The menu also supports a few additional languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Russian, and Arabic.

Crunchyroll improvements in recent months

Now even XBox Seris X and S Xbox One gamers and users will be able to enjoy the anime much more comfortably than before. Last August, the platform updated the app for PlayStaion 4, bringing improvements similar to those listed above.

Last year, the platform also updated the interface of the site and also started playing the first anime dubbed in Italian. Also in recent weeks, the platform has announced new dubs in Italian (those of Chainsaw Man, To your eternity e The Bride of the Ancient Magus), also achieving good success with the public.

Soon it will also arrive in home video Jujutsu Kaisenone of the first Crunchyroll series dubbed in Italian, although it is unclear if the other dubbed series will also have a home video edition in conjunction with publisher Dynit.
