PewDiePie has been on YouTube for more than 10 years. During this time he uploaded a video almost every day and hardly allowed himself any time out. You don’t have to like the Swedish Youtuber, but you can’t deny his discipline over an extremely long period of time. He has definitely worked hard to be the greatest content creator in the world for many years.

PewDiePie

In all this time, the 31-year-old has hardly taken any time off, despite several moves, setbacks and his wedding a few months ago. In order not to steer straight into burnout or depression, the popular video producer decided to change course last year.

This means, among other things, that he takes a break more often. At the beginning of 2020, he was therefore away from the platform for a whole month. A year later he announced an extended break. Very succinctly he mentioned in a comment under one of his videos that he will be gone for a while:

“I forgot to mention a few things. I’M taking some time off to chill, epic. I might not stream for a while either, just to take some full time off, and come back fully charged. So I’ll be offline for a week, two weeks, maybe three weeks. I don’t know. I know it’s kind of a ball-buster to end here, but I don’t really take breaks and I feel like I just need it.”

Comeback

No sooner said than done: PewDiePie has not uploaded any videos since January 5th this year. Almost three weeks later, the Youtuber from Gothenburg has spoken again and announced his comeback. In addition to this, he promises his fans a “big reveal”.

A new video will appear on his channel on January 23rd. There the big surprise is revealed: “Gamers, the long awaited return will happen on the 23rd this month. Big reveal. Be there.”
