As New World shifts gears and shifts to a seasonal pattern, the Fellowship and Fire content patch comes with new quests and, most interestingly, a three-month Season Pass that will shake up the MMO.
The new season’s template kicks off with Fellowship and Fire, a quest chain that sees the return of Irish fan favorite Grace O’Malley. Creating a group of mercenaries by the name of Silver Crows, you’ll have to help take their bloody enterprise to new heights, facing off against a mysterious wizard and his army of creatures known only as “The Forged”.
There will be a new Level 60 Expedition called The Empyrean Forge, where you’ll encounter these fearsome enemies en masse, as well as a new Heartgem ability on sale called Firestorm, which creates a tornado that damages any poor souls caught in it. his path
But let’s turn it down real business, okay? There is a season pass that accompanies this new model, which features a free and premium track offering over 100 different rewards.
The free track will contain skins (the red skin in the image below is one of them), Marks of Fortune, new weapons and armor, and even an adorable pet for your home. The premium iteration offers all the gear for free, along with a set of premium skins, a shop skin, and even more brands. Please note that you must be level 25 to purchase the premium pass.
The New World Premium Season Pass costs 20,000 Marks of Fortune, which is around $20 (about £16). If that price raises an eyebrow, I asked Amazon Games what the pass price was in a recent interview.
You can purchase the pass at any time and retroactively receive the rewards you would have earned had you purchased the pass at launch.
To improve your Season Pass, you will need to complete missions. General Expeditions and Quests will earn you XP, but the big hits are Seasonal Challenges – dastardly encounters designed to test your mettle.
There’s also a brand new mini-game called Stamp Card, which can contribute to your XP harvest. These daily tasks allow you to complete easier challenges and if you complete a line of stamps (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) you will receive even more XP, so keep in mind the missions you choose.
