Cumulate quests to earn more

To level up faster in New World, the first strategy to implement is to think about optimize your journey to complete the in-game quests. In practice, this means not going on an adventure without first making sure accumulate as many quests as possible in your journal in order to have as many objectives as possible to complete each time you go exploring the regions surrounding the cities.

Your experience gains during the first moments of play will then be increased: as long as you have prepared your quest path beforehand, the gain may be substantial!

Take advantage of the faction bonus

If your faction controls a Fortress in a region, you will gain a slight experience bonus when you fight or complete missions in the area. Do not panic if the place is controlled by a competing faction: no penalty is to be deplored.

Wherever you are, your faction also offers a significant experience bonus on the first faction quests you complete: preferably choose a dungeon quest, the XP reward for which is generally more generous than other types of missions.

To rub shoulders with the elite of the new nation

Fighting against basic monsters is not particularly rewarding in terms of experience and is not particularly a technique to prioritize to level up early in the game, compared to crafting gains or weapon levels that progress when you use them. However, monsters in elite areas are much more generous in loot and experience points : prioritize them if the objective of your game session is to fight “usefully”.

A good reputation makes all the difference

Territory Reputation Bonuses can influence your experience gains, so it may be worth activating some to help you get started. However, do not bet everything on reputation experience bonuses: other very useful reputation bonuses are also available (tax reduction in particular), it would be a shame to neglect them to prioritize only XP.
