Announced soon after The Mandalorian, the Andor series is still desired. Telling what happens before the suicide mission to recover the Death Star plans and therefore before Rogue One, the series seems on very good track.

In the absence of a trailer for the Andor series, the trailer accompanying this article presents Star Wars: The Bad Batch, an animated series available on Disney +.

Slowed down by the pandemic, the shooting of the series Andor is a priori finished. In any case, that’s what announced Diego Luna, performer of Cassian Andor and co-executive producer, in an interview with Deadline. He obviously did not reveal the script for the series, but clarified that it would take the form of a “thrilling” spy thriller, centered on the beginnings of resistance. In addition to this, the actor teases us by declaring that we will most certainly see “familiar faces”.

Honestly, it has been a real blessing to do this job and to do it despite the circumstances. I have been fortunate enough to work with a team that I could not be more proud of and that I admire even more. It was a difficult time (…) and we were really lucky. We have finished filming, and we are now preparing (the series) for the audience (to) see it.

But then, what kind of cameos can we expect? The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is also expected, one can imagine that Ewan McGregor points the tip of his nose at one time or another. Located at a period of history when the Empire is all powerful, why not consider the appearance of Vader, charged with tracking down the enemies of the Emperor? The series has yet to reveal its release date, but it is reasonable to wait for 2022. One thing is certain, it will happen on Disney +.
