Arkane, Bethesda, and Xbox have been so busy rehearsing that Redfall isn’t like Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood, etc., that they’ve barely touched on the story of the game itself. Well, that changes today.
The Redfall story trailer was just released a few minutes ago. It’s not that different from other trailers we’ve seen over the years, as it’s clear that most of the story will be told through gameplay. This at least lets players decide how much time they want to spend on this aspect of this vampire (and cultist) slaying adventure. On May 2, we’ll see if it’s for better or for worse.
One of the most interesting details is the presentation of what seem to be the main villains who will have to be roasted in the sun, the so-called deities, four super-powered vampires who will make things difficult for us. The Gaunt, Bloodthirsty Tom, Sibylla and Black Sun. These monsters, along with the Aevum Therapeutics cabal, will be the main opponents to defeat, surrounded by a horde of lesser vampires.
