We are fast approaching the release of red drop on Xbox Game Pass on May 2, 2023, and before that, Arkane gives us a look at all of the game’s heroes, starting with the “telekinetic menace,” Layla.
This video shows a bit of Layla’s backstory, followed by some gameplay snippets. She is described as “perfectly suited for attack or defense”, with some pretty impressive abilities:
“A biomedical engineering student who interned at an Aevum research facility, where something went horribly wrong, leaving her with intense telekinetic abilities.
His abilities give you total versatility – Umbrella is perfectly suited for offense or defense. Use the elevator to reach rooftops or launch enemies into the air. Then summon Jason to deal devastating damage to nearby enemies.”
It’s worth keeping an eye on the official Xbox YouTube channel for more of these character profiles ahead of Redfall’s release on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, which is now less than a month away!
Reviews are yet to be released, but final previews of the game dropped in late March, and first impressions are pretty solid overall. Hopefully the full game lives up to the hype when it arrives on Xbox Game Pass.
