If you’ve played Atomic Heart on your PC, the latest sci-fi FPS game on the Game Pass and Steam subscription service, you’re probably wondering what settings you can change. In fact, the biggest setting that most of us are curious about is a fix for Atomic Heart’s FOV, and whether it can actually be changed in game options. Unfortunately, there’s no Native in-game FOV fix, but there is a workaround.

While our Atomic Heart review can tell you everything you need to know about Mundfish’s new shooter, there’s still no Atomic Heart FOV slider or ability to change it in the game’s options menu.

A sacrilege to almost all PC gamers, it’s disappointing that Mundfish hasn’t implemented any sort of fix for Atomic Heart’s FOV. It is also to be confirmed if there will be a fix with the next open world game update. Don’t worry, because there is actually a solution to the problem.

If you download Flawless Widescreen, which already supports many PC games, you can get the Atomic Heart FOV options right out of the box. You can install the Flawless Widescreen plugin and basically adjust the Atomic Heart FOV options from there. The plugin should automatically detect Atomic Heart and from there you can increase the Atomic Heart FOV percentage.

That being said, Flawless Widescreen is not a magic bullet as many reports claim that Atomic Heart PC crashes increase exponentially when running Flawless Widescreen. So while it’s still not perfect, it’s definitely a widescreen.

In the meantime, we have a breakdown of all Atomic Heart weapons, all Atomic Heart bosses, and even Atomic Heart system requirements, if you want to know how your gear will work with the new shooter.

You can access Flawless Widescreen through its own website here.

Developer Mundfish has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks after it was alleged that the Russian government would benefit financially from the release of Atomic Heart. This is because among the investors involved in funding Mundfish are GEM Capital, an investment fund whose founder has ties to Gazprom and VTB Bank, both majority-owned by the Russian state.

Mundfish is also partnering with VK (formerly Mail.RU) for the Russian release of Atomic Heart, avoiding sanctions on Steam: VK is also majority-owned by the Russian state through Gazprombank, and Mundfish’s CEO is a former director . .RU. .

With Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine, many gamers are now choosing to boycott the game in protest and donate money to organizations such as the Ukraine Crisis Appeal, the International Rescue Committee and the British Red Cross.
