A new announcement on Famitsu has revealed new details about the release corrupt Since master sword In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Although the latest title in one of Nintendo’s legendary franchises is coming out in a few months, there are still plenty of fans who don’t know about it.

Nintendo has been quite protective of gameplay details, choosing to limit what it releases via Tears of the Kingdom trailers, which appear to show gameplay snippets rather than larger story details.

The most recent trailer, which arrived during a new Nintendo Direct in early February, showcased the newest details fans had seen to date. Along with showing Link moving through the familiar land of Hyrule, some of the most telling details were the return of the Blood Moon and the use of what appear to be custom vehicles.

Now, a recent announcement seems to have given players a brief glimpse of a corrupted version of the Master Sword. Japanese magazine Famitsu publishes a new advertisement for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Accompanying the image of a corrupted Master Sword is text written in Japanese that fans have been trying to translate. One of the versions comes from the Game Data Library on Twitter, which says the text on the right reads: “The Master Sword, corrupted”. An abbreviated version of the smaller text on the left indicates that the appearance of the sword will receive a major overhaul.
