Microsoft announced that it will carry the version of Xbox Game Pass for PC (PC Game Pass) in 40 new countries starting today. Over the years, the tech giant’s subscription service has become one of the most popular gaming services.
Now, with the expansion of PC game pass to many other countries, Xbox Game Pass aims to further expand its popularity and user base.
Microsoft’s gaming subscription service has come a long way since its inception in 2017. Although Microsoft hasn’t met its annual growth targets over the past two years, its broad appeal remains a popular choice among gamers. , especially when it comes to PCs.
With PC Game Pass growing 159% year-over-year through October 2022, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said the increase in PC subscribers has been “incredible”.
Now, Microsoft’s latest PC Game Pass announcement indicates that the company could double down on its growing efforts. According to Xbox vice president of games marketing Jerret West, a preview version of PC Game Pass is now available in 40 new countries.
Starting today, February 28, players can sign up for the service with the Xbox Insider Hub app, where users will be offered a preview version of PC Game Pass that includes a “special trial price ” for the first month.
Like the regular service offering, PC Game Pass will give subscribers access to hundreds of PC games, including Day One releases from Xbox Game Studios, as well as a subscription to EA Play on Xbox Game Pass.
