It’s been a good four years since 4A Games released Metro Exodus on Xbox One, and it looks like the next game in the series isn’t too far off. Insider Gaming reports that the upcoming Metro title is currently in a “fully playable” state ahead of a possible reveal in the coming months.
4A Games has been talking about a follow-up to Exodus for years at this point, but we’ve yet to see a proper announcement. Even so, Insider Gaming’s sources claim the sequel is “well in development” while being fully playable from start to finish.
For now, this is just a report, and 4A Games has yet to fully reveal its next title. Last month the Ukrainian team released an update from the devs that suggested they were making changes to the upcoming metro based on the ongoing war in Ukraine, so chances are things may have gone a bit lagged behind in recent months.
In any case, we are happy to wait very patiently for the next 4A Games project. The Metro Exodus Xbox Series X update | Team’s S remains one of the best looking games we’ve seen so far this generation, with global illumination at 60fps.
