The developers of Dead by Daylight are once again aiming for a one-of-a-kind game. Meet Your Maker shooter will meet the expectations of both fans of Doom-like FPS games and lovers of building weird structures.
From the creators of the excellent Dead by Daylight, Meet Your Maker is an interesting mix of a fast-paced FPS with a fortress-building simulator. Unfortunately, turning the project into a tool for gamers and pinning hopes on the content they need to create can backfire on the creators.
Meet your Maker or create hell… for other players
Meet Your Maker is a network action game. The game here is divided into two parts. In the first, we assume the role of a fortress builder. – our task is to design the hardest level to pass, full of traps and armed NPCs. The second part of the game is an attempt to complete the levels of other players. – here the game looks like a Doom-style FPS, so it’s fast and bloody. If the player manages to complete the level successfully, he will be rewarded.
The game of the famous developer (dead by daylightin the future Silent Hill: Climb) currently has 12,000 viewers (via: SteamDB). It remains to be hoped that this translates into a sufficient number of players to ensure an influx of new creations which are, after all, supposed to be the heart of the game. It should be noted that the title is growing in popularity as new bands – announcements are published (for example, from December or January). Time will tell if players will like this intriguing game idea.
Prices and editions
Meet Your Maker will debut on PC (Steam), PS4 and PS5 consoles (PS Store) and is available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X (Microsoft Store). The game is priced at $29.99.
In addition, the game is available for purchase in a Deluxe version for $34.99 (including 10% discount), which (in addition to the game) offers skins for the hero and weapons, as well as exclusive blocks to create a fortress.
