Maybe you have heard of indie games from wonderand now a new standalone expansion will bring new characters from the superhero franchise to the board.

That’s right, four new young heroes are coming to the popular Unmatched franchise. It is Marvel: Teenage Spiritwhich is a new standalone expansion to Unmatched, an asymmetrical, board-based fighting game while combining the movement of miniature figures and playing cards.

This new expansion adds four heroes: Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel there Cloak and Dagger, with Cloak and Dagger acting as one unit. A fun part of the new expansion is that the Squirrel Girl cards feature witty commentary written by Ryan North, who revamped Squirrel Girl into a popular series that ran from 2015 to 2019. The game franchise Incomparable it featured characters from many franchises and mythos, with players able to mix and match heroes from any expansion. Now the game is all about moving around a board and playing cards to attack opponents or perform other actions.

Each board has a different layout, with colors used to determine line of sight for various ranged attacks. The game ends when only one player is left standing, with alternate game modes allowing team play or 1v1v1.

Playable characters include Robin Hood, King Arthur, Bigfoot, Medusa, Alice in Wonderland and Sherlock Holmes. Licensed games include characters from Jurassic Park, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Bruce Lee. Various Marvel sets have also been released, with Daredevil, Elektra, Moon Knight, Luke Cage, Black Widow, Black Panther, and Deadpool included in various box sets.

A digital version of Unmatched was also released via To smoke, and most of the unlicensed characters are available for use or through DLC released this year. Initial response to the digital game has been positive, in fact, it has 81% “very positive” reviews and ratings on Steam.
