NBA 2K23 will revolve around the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan and it is known that every time the GOAT appears in an installment of the successful 2K Sports franchise there is something special. Years have passed since his last appearance and now that he is back, he will arrive in the mode that fans loved.

2K Sports confirmed that NBA 2K23 will bring back the Jordan Challenge mode with all kinds of improvements to deliver its best version. In case you don’t know, this mode features 15 historic moments in Jordan’s career, from his exploits as a college boy at the University of North Carolina, to the United States’ selection for the Los Angeles Olympics, to his last historic shot in the 1998 Finals against the Utah Jazz. Each of them has been recreated so that players take control and feel the emotion that many experienced at the time.

This time, the Jordan Challenge mode includes a preview interview with an NBA star before each event starts. In the same way, each of them will have visual elements typical of the time as if you were watching them on a broadcast from the 80s and 90s. In the same way, the style of play adapts according to the moment and the era, for what you can expect tougher and more hostile defense, lots of play in the paint and different strategies from those times.

At the same time, the Jordan Challenge of NBA 2K23 promises epic confrontations, like those that the GOAT had against the Detroit Pistons, known as the “Bad Boys” and the violent defense that they put in place to try to stop it. Finally, it was confirmed that this mode will have a special event that will pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, considered by many to be Jordan’s successor, with a duel between the Bulls and Lakers that took place in the 1997-1998 season.
