The latest leak on the next Hollow Knight: Silksong not only suggests that development is getting better and better on Team Cherry, but also that players have a lot to look forward to once it hits the shelves.

Originally announced in 2019, the sequel to the popular metroidvania is long overdue, though there’s still no definite release date for fans.

Fan theories about Hollow Knight: Silksong continue to surface thanks to the air of mystery surrounding the project, and the Cherry team doesn’t seem to be in a rush to release more information about it.

With the developers’ proven track record, a direct follow-up to one of the most successful indie releases of recent years should work well no matter what, and sources say the wait will eventually pay off.

According to Craig, the lead tester working on Hollow Knight: Silksong, the developers at Team Cherry are doing everything they can to release the game as soon as possible. “It’s a glorious game worth the wait,” he said in his final post on the game’s official Discord server, underscoring high player expectations for Hollow Knight’s sequel.

While longtime fans almost certainly believe in the quality of Team Cherry’s production, receiving such praise from the main game tester is quite significant and remarkable, and helps allay any concerns some fans might have.
