final fantasy xiv it allows players to upgrade their job classes in several ways, Palace of the Dead being one of them. This unique type of leveling experience known as “Deep Dungeon” will test the mettle of even the most experienced players, through randomly generated dungeon levels. Arguably one of the best ways to level up your Job Class without undertaking the main storyline quests or doing FATE, this guide will walk you through how to unlock the Palace of the Dead in FFXIV.

First, players will need to complete the main scenario quest “Into Copperhell”. This will be the final quest to unlock the first three dungeons players will have access to, which are Sastasha, Tam-Tara Deepcroft, and Copperbell Mines in that order. Once you have completed the Copperbell Mines quest as part of the FFXIV Main storyline quests, then you can head to Gridania to do the first quest to unlock the Palace of the Dead.

Speak to Nojiro Marujiro in Gridania at X:12.0,Y:13.1 and resume the quest “The House Death Built”. This mission is marked by the blue mission marker with the checkpoint. This means that it is an optional content that will unlock an additional feature in the game, namely the Palace of the Dead. Once you start this quest, the chain will eventually lead you to The Quarrymill. This is where the Palace of the Dead is located. Speak to the Wailing Wood Expeditionary Captain at X:25.2, Y:20.6 to enter the Palace of the Dead.

Keep in mind that Palace of the Dead works completely differently than your standard dungeon. These deep dungeons have limited save files, and once you start a specific job class, you must see that save file until the end or until you die. That being said, you can jump from the Palace of the Dead every 10 levels, don’t rush to complete it all in one go.

final fantasy xiv is available for PS4, PS5 and PC.
