Ada Wong can be a playable character in Resident Evil 4 not only in the confirmed mercenary mode, but also in a revised mini-campaign of the original.

Ada Wong could return to the Resident Evil 4 Remake. This is indicated by data found in the game files by data miner Gosetsu (via Resident Evil Central at Blood).

Dataminers have found mention of Another Order, a minigame from the original RE4, known outside of Japan as Separate Ways. He was one of two modes allowing you to embody Ada Wong, as well as the much shorter mission: Ada. Players could control the agent in a mini-campaign of sorts, with unique cutscenes and, of course, slightly different gameplay using Wong’s unique gadgets.

For now, Separate Ways is absent from the Resident Evil 4 remake, but some time ago there were rumors of a possible DLC.. Well-known tipster DuskGolem reported that the game will receive an update with Mercenaries mode and Separate Ways as the “biggest paid DLC”.

Mercenaries’ debut has already been confirmed by Capcom for April 7th. Other revelations from Gosetsu (via @biohazarddoctor at Blood) increase the credibility of the report. Among other things, the internet user showed alternate costumes for Leon and Ada, but also for Luis, who will apparently finally be a playable character in the Mercenaries mode.

He started his adventure with GlobeLiveMedia in 2015, writing in the editorial department, then also covering movies and oh, horror! – technology (also a contributor to the Games Encyclopedia). He started with platform games, which he still loves (including metroidvania), but he also likes card games (including “analog” games), fighting games, soul games and virtually any other kind of game. Don’t ask about the graphics: after a few hours of exposure, you can revel in pixelated game characters reminiscent of the days of the Game Boy era (if not older).
