Where do you find the W-870 shotgun?

You can find the W-870 Shotgun at the start of your journey with the Resident Evil 4 Remake. It’s in the largest house in the village, which is full of enemies you’ll encounter early in the story. This is the first big showdown in the game, and you can pick up the W-870 shotgun in the middle to help lighten things up a bit.

See above for a map reference for the location of the W-870 shotgun. You can enter the house through the front door, but the intended entrance is the window to your left. Pull and move the bookcase towards it to stop enemies from following you for a while. The gun is held in a picture frame at the top of the stairs. You’ll get five shotgun shells to start with, but you can pick up a few more from the table on the landing.
This shotgun is an incredibly powerful weapon, but you have to keep it when facing powerful enemies. It can help you clear the village and probably even kill the mini-boss attacking you there. However, we found it more useful in the areas after the village, as some very large and clumsy enemies start attacking you very quickly afterwards.
More shotgun shells will start spawning after you pick up this weapon, and it will stay in your inventory forever unless you sell it. We recommend upgrading it to Chapter 4, as it’s way better than anything you can get in the chapters leading up to that point. However, from there, you must update it with the merchant if you intend to continue using it.
