To mix things up, Capcom has added additional gameplay mechanics and cheats to Resident Evil 4 in 2023. This includes the inclusion of attached briefcases on the Resident Evil 4 Redo. Although you don’t have to get them, they offer some great bonuses and perks when attached to your case. The option to attach charms from an attached briefcase appears early in the game, and it can be done at any save point. However, the chance to get them happens a bit later in the game.

The first time, you will be able to get charms from the briefcase in the Resident Evil 4 remake is when you get access to the shooting gallery. As you progress through the game, you’ll come across one of these firing ranges sooner rather than later. The Shooting Gallery is an optional series of challenges that players can participate in that will test your accuracy and reflexes. Each challenge will have a specific weapon assigned to it. The higher you climb, the more silver or gold coins you will receive. Additional challenges will unlock as you complete Resident Evil 4 Redo. You can see an example of some of the challenges and rewards below.

These coins can be traded in a gacha machine in the shooting gallery, in which case the player will receive a random briefcase charm. Different charms will grant different benefits. For example, the Luis Sera amulet will give players 20% more pesetas when selling a weapon to the merchant. Other charms will also increase the amount of ammo crafted. The charms themselves will look familiar to those who have played the original. Resident Evil 4, and serve as a fun little series of Easter eggs. Plus, a total of three charms can be attached to your briefcase at any given time.
