If you complete the New Delsta side stories “The Traveler’s Bag” and Montwise “Proquisition Peculiar Tomes” in octopathic traveler 2, “From the Far Reaches of Hell” is unlocked immediately after. Once you give the Librarian the three missing tomes, there’s a hint that more are to come. You will notice that they cannot offer From the Far Reaches of Hell to visitors, as there is no translation.
On the same floor of the library, on the east side, you’ll find Al from “Traveler’s Bag”. He wants to read From the Far Reaches of Hell, but he can’t translate it. After talking to the two NPCs, you will notice that someone by the name of Georges Lazuli could probably help you. However, he is on an island somewhere. Well, said island is the unnamed island that lies north of Toto’haha. Sail to the island in your boat and travel as far as you can. Note that this is a level 38 area. At the bottom of the island, you will be warned of a powerful enemy. Then you will have to face the Giants bosses.
It’s a pretty strong fight. Especially since, while the character would normally only have nine shield points, he uses an attack to immediately buff it up to 11, and can further boost his shield by attacking. Moreover, it has 50,000 HP. It is weak against swords, bows, fire, ice, and lightning. (He can also temporarily nullify some of his weaknesses during combat.) Defeating him grants you Revitalizing Jam. This also means you can access the finisher’s claws in the chest behind him.
Georges appears after defeating Giants. Obtain information from him with an action like Bribe or Examine. (I bribed him, which cost 5,000 sheets). Then you will get “How to Crack Unknown Languages”.
Take this to Al in Montwise’s library. You will get 4500 blades and a crest for completing “From the Ends of Hell” in octopathic traveler 2.
