Square Enix is looking to avoid the rush and long lines, so they opted to make the process a lottery system, although this process gives current players a chance to get tickets before heading to general sales. .
Players with active Final Fantasy XIV subscriptions who have a North American Square Enix account simply register their desire to purchase through the request form. Once the application period is over, winners will be drawn on Friday March 3 and contacted if they are part of the lucky group. Access codes will be emailed to winning players for purchase, and Square Enix will make sure to provide updates by Twitter.
Tickets will be sold on the Showclix event website.
