Warner Bros. Games announced today that Hogwarts Legacy, the new single-player open-world action RPG (role-playing game) is now available on PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Xbox Series X|S and PC in its Digital Deluxe Edition. The physical Deluxe Edition and the Standard Edition, both physical and digital, will be released on February 10.

Hogwarts Legacy invites players to embark on an epic Hogwarts adventure as a fifth-year student with the uncanny ability to wield powerful ancient magic. With the help of the Wizard’s Field Guide and insights from the Professors and other characters, fans will discover an engaging story filled with exciting challenges and mysteries. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games brand, Hogwarts Legacy features an original story that immerses players in their own personal adventure in the wizarding world.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players arrive at Hogwarts as fifth-year students. As they begin their adventure, players can customize their character’s appearance with a variety of options to become the witch or wizard they want to be. They will join or be assigned to one of the four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. They will meet their roommates in their common rooms and attend classes like Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology or Potions, where they will meet their teachers, learn how to cast spells, grow magical plants , brewing potions, etc. .

Along with classes and spells, players will have access to a comprehensive collection of upgrades, talents, and abilities, helping them progress as a witch or wizard. They can take on challenges all over the world for a chance to gain experience and improve their skills. Between classes, players will discover dungeons, secret passages, and challenging puzzles while fully exploring the Hogwarts castle where the classes take place. Your characters’ abilities will increase as they master powerful spells and perfect their combat techniques to help them face deadly enemies.

This open-world game allows players to freely roam Hogwarts castle and the surrounding grounds, including familiar and new Wizarding World locations such as Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest. It’s packed with action and immersive magic. Players can fly on broomsticks, tame and ride magical beasts, and battle enemies like trolls, spiders, and dark wizards. In their adventure, they will discover a large world full of dangers related to the distant and forgotten past of the wizarding world and an unusual ability that only they possess. Players will also face challenging decision-making missions and scenarios that will test their resolve.
