There is a bug in Hogwarts Legacy that allows you to enter common rooms in rival houses.

Surely one of the most exciting parts of attending Hogwarts is having the sorting hat on and finding out which of the school’s four houses – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff – is the one you want. you need. Each house has its own common room where students can relax and hang out between classes, and each is uniquely designed with the colors and features of that house in mind. Officially, you can only enter the common room that belongs to your house, but one Hogwarts Legacy fan found a sneaky way to access all living areas.

That fan is TashaPlays, and they revealed their method in a series of YouTube videos shared on the Hogwarts Legacy subreddit (opens in a new tab). There are four videos in total, one for each of the common rooms. The first explains how to access the Slytherin common room if you are not a Slytherin.

As shown in the video, you will first need to go to Irondale and get to the house with the white cloth hanging outside. Walk back and forth past this building and you’ll run into a glitch that will cause your character to fall through the ground. Then take out your broom and start flying towards Hogwarts. When you reach the building next to the main courtyard, you will be able to see the windows of the Slytherin common room. Fly towards them and go through the small hole in the rocks nearby. Then, dismount your broom on the inconspicuous rock slab above you, and voila! The Slytherin common room will appear before your eyes.

Getting into the other common rooms involves using the same glitch but flying to different locations, and if you follow the instructions in the videos carefully, you shouldn’t have much trouble getting there. It’s worth noting that the footage is from the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy, so this may not be feasible if you’re playing on console.

The release of Hogwarts Legacy has been the subject of criticism and debate due to JK Rowling’s public stance on gender identity, which continues to challenge inclusion at the heart of the Harry Potter community. Here is our explanation on the Hogwarts legacy controversy.
