Grim Guardians: Demon Purge Renamed to Gal Guardians: Demon Purge Following Trademark Complaint

Inti Creates announced today that it will change the name of Shadow Guardians: Demonic Purge to Gal Guardians: Demon Purge.
This will be rolling out to Switch and other platforms “in the coming weeks.” Hope to see it on the eShop soon.
Inti Creates explained that they received a complaint from the owners of the “Grimguard” trademark registered in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. This prompted the name change in these countries, as well as other English-speaking regions.
Fans recently noticed that Grim Guardians: Demon Purge was removed from the Switch eShop and other stores, now we know why. Inti Creates is moving forward with the new name Gal Guardians: Demon Purge, but the title may be temporarily unavailable for purchase in some regions.
Inti Creates said it “expresses its sincerest apologies to affected customers as they work to complete the name change as soon as possible and restore the game for sale on all platforms and regions.”
