After almost ten years, Google has announced that it is ending Google Glass Enterprise Edition. “As of March 15, 2023,” the company wrote. “We will no longer sell Glass Enterprise Edition. We will continue to support Glass Enterprise Edition until September 15, 2023.”
Google Glass initially impressed with its technology and futuristic look. A pair of glasses that let you make calls and take pictures felt like a breakthrough. However, it appeared that the technology did not prove as popular as expected, and it was pulled from consumer markets in 2015.
The retail version of Google Glass, which was supposed to have some use in the healthcare industry, is now discontinued. It seems that the two versions of the seemingly groundbreaking technology failed to catch on, so Google is finally ditching its tech goggles.
