A recent Genshin Impact leak gave us a little taste of what’s in store for the Baizhu story quest in the anime game’s version 3.6 update next month. The doctor has been around since the start of the game, giving us our first glimpse of a vision of Dendro in Liyue. Fast forward about two years, and he’s about to be a playable member of the roster.
It looks like some of the leaked screenshots depict a single area, which is what players expect from story missions in general. Several characters appear to be inside a cave, with the good Doctor Baizhu tending to someone in need of help.
We can also see Qiqi and Hu Tao inside what appears to be the Bubu Pharmacy, with the former appearing to be hiding from the latter. It’s played for laughs, but voice lines and character lore tell us that Hu Tao, as the funeral director, tried to forcefully exorcise Qiqi because he’s a zombie. So they’re not exactly best friends.
The 16 leaked images are from known leaks from Genshin, Team China, posted on Genshin Leaks Reddit.
We haven’t seen or heard of Baizhu since we first met him in Liyue, but he’s slowly been reintroduced in recent trailers and the 3.4 Lantern Rite event.
We have no official word on his abilities, but if Baizhu’s leaks are true, he’ll be a Dendro protector playing the supporting role, which isn’t at all surprising for a doctor.
Genshin Impact version 3.5 is about to enter its second half, so version 3.6 is still a few weeks away. When it arrives, you will be able to lure Baizhu along with Kaveh and some currently unannounced replays.
